WE HEAR IT ALL THE TIME

“They don’t send you and the baby home with an instruction manual.” TRUE! While most people are familiar with a birth plan, not many people plan for their postpartum period. All the freezer meals and pad-sicles won’t talk you through the anxiety of a baby that just won’t sleep. Pinterest boards don’t sit with you and watch The Housewives while you nurse your baby ALL DAY. And you don’t have to consider our comfort or feelings the way you might your well-intended mother-in-law.

CAN WE SHARE A LITTLE SECRET

The postpartum period is not so black and white. What you might need one night might not be what you need on the second night. You might not even know what you need. You might need to shower. You might need someone to play with your toddler. You might need someone to talk to. You might need to sleep through the night. All of that is exactly what we do. And we do it without judgement or preconceived notions of who you should be or how your baby should act. We interweave ourselves in your home seamlessly like a little baby fairy you didn’t know existed but always wanted.

WE GET IT–HAVING A BABY IS EXPENSIVE

Many people invest hundreds a month in their health with fitness coaches. Sometimes people invest up to $10,000 in support for their businesses. And let’s not even talk about how much it costs to get married. What we are getting at, is that you invest in what you value. Your mental and physical wellbeing in those early days of parenting is something we value. We know the emotional health of everyone in your home means everything to you and we believe how a mom feels matters just as much as how the baby feels. Moms and dads deserve support, they deserve care and they deserve to be seen.

HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU

We know you’ve heard postpartum doulas provide education and light housework, but we offer so much more than that! We are trained in newborn care, newborn feeding, and breastfeeding. We can change diapers freaky fast and can lull even the fussiest of babies. We can also spot the warning signs of postpartum mood disorders, navigate the emotions of toddlers and young children, and we are CPR certified and criminal history vetted.

HOW IT WORKS

  • OVERNIGHT DOULA SUPPORT: With overnight support, your doula arrives in the evening. You can get yourself ready for bed, take a steaming hot shower, put on your trusty PJs, and wait for it… get into bed for a full night’s sleep. The doula takes care of your little while you rest. If you are breastfeeding, we will bring the baby to you, let you nurse them and put them back to sleep for you. If you need to pump, we will bring you the fresh pump parts and store the milk without making a peep. If you are bottle feeding, we simply make the bottles and feed the baby! Our favorite part is when a rested parent walks down the stairs in the morning and she greets her baby renewed and ready to soak up all the cuddles.

  • DAYTIME DOULA SUPPORT: With daytime support, your doula arrives at a predetermined time during the day hours and can assist in any way needed. We can make slime with your toddler, wash your laundry, run to the store, absolutely anything you might need. Whatever support you might need, a doula can provide it.

"For any family looking for a kindhearted, present and wise doula – Jeanna is for you! I feel so lucky to have had her apart of our home birth experience. She is perfectly matched for her craft and was excellent picking up on my cues and knew exactly what I needed before I even voiced it. Having 2 medicated births prior, she was a tremendous help in talking me through the nerves of having a non-medicated birth. My husband and I were not the only ones who loved having her! She was amazing with our other children, as well as our newborn, and really made them feel a part of the process."
